The Shops at Crystals features a crystalline, faceted facade of brushed stainless steel and glass that reflects the desert sunlight in jagged, shifting patterns. Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the structure sits as a deliberate angular break in the surrounding grid of classic casino resorts. When it opened in two thousand nine, it functioned as the primary retail anchor for the CityCenter complex. A sculpture by Claes Oldenburg, a giant inverted cream-colored paintbrush, stands near the entrance, marking the edge of this metallic landscape.
