Louisa Park

Louisa Park sits fifteen feet below the street level of John F. Kennedy Boulevard East, a drop in elevation that presented a massive engineering challenge during its recent, million-dollar overhaul. Builders had to construct a heavy-duty retaining wall to secure the site, which sits on a foundation of solid rock. This geological reality made adding basic amenities like plumbing for a new public restroom an exceptionally complex task. The project, which concluded in early twenty-twenty-six, transformed the area into a modern community space while managing the steep topography of the Hudson Palisades.
