Top of The Rock

viewpoint

The Top of the Rock observation deck sits at the summit of the skyscraper known as thirty Rockefeller Plaza. They intended to create the unique sensation that visitors were sailing across a metropolitan ocean of skyscrapers. This nautical theme was a direct nod to the Art Deco aesthetic of the time, which favored streamlined forms and the elegance of modern travel.
