Japan Society

The Japan Society building at 333 East 47th Street stands as a unique architectural landmark in the Turtle Bay neighborhood. When it opened in 1971, it became the first building in New York City designed by a prominent Japanese architect. The project was led by Junzo Yoshimura, who masterfully blended modern design with traditional Japanese elements.
