Schenley Plaza

Schenley Plaza is the expansive, five-acre green lawn stretching between the Cathedral of Learning and the Carnegie Library. Before its current life as a park, this site served as a bustling parking lot for decades. In nineteen oh five, the land held the original entrance to the Schenley Park complex. Andrew Carnegie eventually moved to transform this space, and in two thousand six, the city replaced the asphalt with gardens, a carousel, and open space for students and locals to gather.
