Echo Beach

Echo Beach holds a small, sandy pocket tucked beneath the rocky headland of Burleigh Heads. Its name comes from the way the cliff face amplifies the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline. In the nineteen seventies, the local surf community claimed this secluded spot as their primary gathering place, away from the crowded main beach. They met here to watch the break and share stories. The beach remains a quiet enclave where the jagged volcanic rock meets the turquoise water of the Pacific.
