The Espace des Forges is a low, brick building sitting right at the edge of the Thiou river. Its wide, industrial windows show exactly what the place was before it became a theater. This was once a metalworks factory, part of the nineteenth century forge complex that powered the local economy. The massive gear wheels and furnaces are long gone, replaced by stage rigging and seating. It still keeps the original, rugged silhouette of a workshop meant for heavy, loud production.
