The brick chimney stack rising above the roofline marks the former site of the Aubert-Crolard factory. Built in the late nineteenth century, this industrial complex specialized in the production of cotton textiles and later, synthetic fibers. The main building now serves as a workspace for notaries, but the heavy iron beams and brick walls remain from when hundreds of workers operated looms here. The structure survives as a reminder of Annecy’s transition from a center of manufacturing into a hub for modern services.
