14 Rue Filaterie

Fourteen Rue Filaterie features a distinct, rounded facade that pushes out into the narrow street, following the curve of the old town’s medieval layout. This building sits on foundations laid when Annecy served as the capital of the County of Geneva. In the eighteenth century, a merchant named Jean-Pierre Paccard operated his textile business from these rooms. The thick stone walls kept his silk and linen cool during the summer, while the cellar provided secure storage for goods arriving from across the Alps.
