Mines Paris – PSL

educational

The Hotel de Vendome features a grand stone facade punctuated by a series of tall, arched windows overlooking the Boulevard Saint-Michel. This building houses Mines Paris, one of the oldest engineering schools in France. King Louis the Sixteenth founded the school in seventeen eighty-three to train experts for the nation's mining industry. During the French Revolution, the school moved several times, but it eventually settled here in the former residence of the Duchess of Vendome, where students continue to study advanced engineering today.
