Villa Belleville

Villa Belleville is hidden behind a nondescript paved alleyway in the twentieth arrondissement. It occupies the shell of a former factory that once specialized in manufacturing keys. The site has been transformed into a residency space for artists who utilize the high ceilings and generous floor space to build sculptures and large scale installations. It serves as a rare example of a Parisian industrial space that escaped demolition during the city's twentieth-century urban renewal projects.
