La Rose des vents

landmark

La Rose des vents is a concrete, angular structure anchored in the nineteenth arrondissement. It houses a national stage dedicated to theater, dance, and music. The building serves as a hub for artistic creation in a neighborhood that has shifted from industrial roots to a dense urban center. Back in the nineteen eighties, the architect Claude Vasconi designed it to bridge the gap between heavy infrastructure and public performance. The theater stage remains one of the largest in France, built to host complex, massive productions.
