The building features a façade of weathered, industrial brickwork that stands out against the surrounding neighborhood of the nineteenth arrondissement. This structure was once a bustling commercial hub for the local textile trade, serving as a collection point for fabrics shipped into the city by train. During the nineteen thirties, the warehouse floor collapsed under the weight of stored silk, leaving a gaping hole that forced the business to relocate overnight. Today, the space houses a neighborhood café and small workshop.
