La Petite Ceinture du 19ᶱ (accès Thionville)

The Petite Ceinture is a double track of rusted iron rails slicing through the nineteenth arrondissement, completely reclaimed by wild vegetation. This thirty-two kilometer ring once circled Paris entirely, acting as a freight and passenger loop connecting the city's major train stations. While the rest of the capital modernized in the nineteen thirties, this line fell into silence. The tracks sat behind locked gates for decades, leaving nature to turn the industrial route into an elevated, linear forest inside the city.
