Games for all : fresque J.O 2024 & 2028

You are standing before a massive, twenty-seven-meter-tall mural that serves as a visual bridge between two major Olympic cities. This work, titled Game Four All, was created to celebrate the handover of the Olympic and Paralympic Games from Paris in 2024 to Los Angeles in 2028. It occupies the side of an apartment building near the Porte de Clignancourt, turning a once-gray urban skyline into a vivid, colorful landmark. The project was led by the French American Mural Art initiative, a collaboration aimed at fostering cultural exchange through street art. To ensure the design resonated with the local community, the artists were selected through an open process that included feedback from residents and local students. The final design was brought to life by the Californian muralist Katbing and the Parisian artist Kekli. They spent two weeks working on scaffolding to complete the piece just before the start of the Paris Games. The style of the mural resembles a massive, open manga page, blending the distinct artistic identities of both creators. Katbing focused on depicting the qualities of sport such as strength and skill, including a character racing in a wheelchair to emphasize inclusive and Paralympic sports. Meanwhile, Kekli incorporated imagery of various sporting disciplines, including skateboarding and baseball, to highlight the dynamic nature of the Games. This site now stands as a lasting legacy of the international cooperation sparked by the shared Olympic timeline between France and the United States.
