Thiers wall

Constructed between eighteen forty-one and eighteen forty-six, it was a massive undertaking that spanned thirty-three kilometers and featured ninety-four bastions. The wall was intended to protect the city from foreign invasion, specifically to prevent a repeat of the occupation Paris suffered in eighteen fourteen.
