park garden

You are approaching a rare architectural enclave known as Square Rapp. This secluded passage is named for General Jean Rapp, a military officer who became a legendary figure for saving the life of Napoleon Bonaparte on multiple occasions. While the square bears his name today, it was known as the Villa de Monttessuy for much of its history, preserving a connection to the old, private villa streets that were once more common across Paris.
