Le Village Saint-Paul

The low, stone-walled courtyards of Le Village Saint-Paul connect through a series of narrow, winding passageways tucked away from the main streets of the Marais. This network of gardens and workshops occupies ground once used as a royal orchard for Charles the Fifth in the fourteenth century. When the king moved his residence, the land fell into centuries of decay. Local antique dealers reclaimed these forgotten spaces in the nineteen seventies, filling the old storage rooms with ceramics, furniture, and rare vintage finds.
