Square Francis-Lemarque

Square Francis-Lemarque is named in honor of a prolific French singer and songwriter who spent much of his life capturing the spirit of Parisian neighborhoods in his music. Born in the twentieth century, Lemarque composed nearly four hundred songs, including iconic tracks that celebrated the very streets and atmospheres of the city you are currently walking through. He was a master of the chanson française tradition, and his work remains deeply woven into the cultural identity of this district.
