Jardin de la gare de Reuilly

park garden

You are currently approaching the site of a former railway hub that has been entirely reimagined. The Jardin de la gare de Reuilly stands on ground that once echoed with the sounds of freight engines and busy cargo operations. This land was part of the Ligne de Vincennes, a rail line that connected the heart of Paris to the eastern suburbs for over a century. When the station finally ceased its rail activity in 1969, the tracks were left to fall into disrepair, turning the bustling terminal into a forgotten industrial wasteland. In the 1990s, the city transformed this heavy infrastructure into a public park, turning a place once defined by coal and steel into a quiet space of greenery and footpaths.
