Two massive rhinoceroses emerge from the wall of a building in the thirteenth arrondissement, constructed entirely from discarded car bumpers, old tires, and twisted metal salvaged from local scrapyards. The artist Artur Bordalo, known as Bordalo Segundo, created this piece to highlight the destruction of animal habitats by human waste. He chose rhinos because the species faces a constant threat of extinction. Their colorful, junk-covered hides serve as a stark reflection of the very trash that displaces animals in the wild.
