Studios JENNER - studio du cinéast Jean-Pierre MELVILLE

The red brick building on Rue Jenner hides a windowless fortress that Jean-Pierre Melville transformed into his private film studio in nineteen fifty-seven. After a fire gutted his previous workspace, he bought this former garage and reinforced the walls to hold his own equipment. Melville lived, ate, and shot his films here, including Le Samouraï. He spent his nights editing in the dark, isolated from the city, and often slept on a cot inside the studio to stay near his work.
