It started in nineteen forty-three as a small canteen for students, founded by Parameshwara Udupa. He wanted to provide affordable snacks to hungry learners. Over the decades, it evolved into a South Indian institution where the queue for a masala dosa often spills onto the sidewalk, while patrons wait for a seat at the worn, wooden tables inside.
