Parque del Artesano

The Parque del Artesano features a distinctive curved stone wall that cuts through the center of the space. It was created to provide a dedicated outdoor venue for local artisans to display their traditional crafts, separating their work from the chaotic traffic of downtown Cancun. In the late nineteen nineties, sculptor Sergio Peraza designed the park to honor the cultural heritage of Quintana Roo. The plaza remains a quiet space where the carved details on the central pillars reflect the region’s Mayan artistic legacy.
