Bait Al Luban Omani Restaurant - Mutrah

food drink

Bait Al Luban occupies a blue-shuttered house of traditional Omani architecture along the Mutrah corniche. The building once served as a residence for a prominent merchant who traded in frankincense, a resin that historically anchored the wealth of the region. Workers converted the space into a restaurant, but they kept the original thick walls and carved wooden doors to preserve the atmosphere of a private family home. Diners eat today where traders stored fragrant bundles of incense before their long sea voyages.
