It began as a small shop in nineteen twenty-one, founded by a man named Zhang Jinquan. He insisted on using high-quality ingredients like premium pork and bamboo leaves to wrap his zongzi. The shop gained a reputation for consistency, and it eventually became the standard-bearer for this specific style of Suzhou dumpling.
