Built during the Qing Dynasty, the estate served as the home for a family of prominent scholars and officials. The most striking feature is the hidden garden layout, where small ponds and artificial rockeries create the illusion of a vast landscape within a tight urban plot. Gu Lin Shi himself spent his retirement here curating his extensive art collection.
