Uskudar Coast Walkway

other

The Uskudar Coast Walkway stretches along the Bosporus with a wide, stone-paved path that separates the city traffic from the water. For centuries, this stretch of shore served as a gateway for travelers arriving from Anatolia to cross into Europe. In the nineteen seventies, planners widened the road and reclaimed land from the sea to build this promenade. Fishermen cast their lines here daily, while the Maiden’s Tower sits anchored in the water just a short distance offshore.
