Grosvenor Gardens Department

Grosvenor Gardens comprises two triangular gardens that act as a verdant, geometric anchor in the bustling area near Victoria Station. Laid out in the 1860s by architect Thomas Cundy the third, these spaces were designed to provide a formal, private green setting for the grand French Renaissance style terraces that surround them. The site sits on land that was once marshy and undeveloped until the mid-nineteenth century, when the Grosvenor Estate transformed the terrain into this prestigious residential enclave.
