Metro Central Heights

Metro Central Heights was originally known as Alexander Fleming House, named in honor of the scientist who discovered penicillin. When it opened in the nineteen sixties, it served as the bustling headquarters for the Ministry of Health. Architect Erno Goldfinger designed the structure with flexible interiors intended to adapt to the changing needs of the civil servants who worked inside. The building features an exposed, bush-hammered concrete frame that was once considered a hallmark of high-caliber post-war design. Continue
