People's Museum Somers Town

The People's Museum Somers Town sits within the Ossulston Estate, a series of buildings constructed between nineteen twenty-seven and nineteen thirty-one. The design of these apartments was inspired by the massive, celebrated Karl Marx Hof in Vienna. The architects of this estate utilized innovative steel-frame construction to create its signature white facades and courtyards, aiming to provide high-quality living space for the working class in what was then one of the most impoverished areas of London.
