Rathbone Square stands on a site that served for decades as the West End Delivery Office for the Royal Mail. This large, utilitarian facility was once a hub of postal activity, but after its demolition in 2014, the area underwent a total transformation. Developers replaced the sorting office with a modern complex that reconnected parts of the district which had been inaccessible to the public for a long time.
