Argyle Square

Before this square became a residential garden, the site was defined by a massive mountain of bones and cinders known as the Dust Heap. In the late eighteenth century, this area was a desolate industrial pit on the outskirts of London. The land was so discarded that it served as a repository for the city's refuse, long before developers looked at the mud and waste and envisioned a formal town square.
