landmark

Town Hall by Bottaccio occupies a striking neo-classical building on Bidborough Street that originally opened in 1937. This structure served as the former Camden Town Hall and functioned for decades as a prominent hub for civic and political life. It gained historical notoriety in 1959 when activist Claudia Jones chose the venue to host the first Caribbean Carnival in Britain. That event laid the foundational groundwork for what would eventually evolve into the Notting Hill Carnival.
