BFI IMAX

cultural

The BFI IMAX is a massive glass drum sitting directly in the center of a busy traffic roundabout. To reach the entrance, you must navigate a network of pedestrian underpasses beneath the roads. This unique location was once the site of a shanty town known as Cardboard City, where up to two hundred people lived in the underpasses until the area was cleared in the late nineteen nineties to make way for the cinema.
