Giant Steel Whale Sculpture

The whale you are approaching is titled Echoes, A Voice from Uncharted Waters. It is a life-sized representation of a one-year-old blue whale, designed by artist Mathias Gmachl. The sculpture is a central installation of the Big Art Loop, an initiative designed to transform San Francisco into an open-air gallery with a series of large-scale, temporary artworks along the waterfront.
