St. Mark's Square

St. Mark’s Square inside The Venetian creates a replica of Venice, complete with an indoor canal and a painted sky ceiling. It serves as the main atrium for the resort, mimicking the atmosphere of the original piazza in Italy. When the developers built it, they imported thousands of tons of stone to capture the exact scale of the real square. A Venetian gondolier once famously serenaded a couple here, only for the man to drop the engagement ring into the murky canal water.
