Nelson A. Rockefeller Park

Nelson A. Rockefeller Park occupies a unique place in the history of New York City because it was quite literally built from the ground up using the earth excavated during the construction of the World Trade Center. This eight-acre green space, which sits at the northern end of Battery Park City, transformed what was once a construction byproduct into a riverside destination for the city.
