The Bone Museum

The Bone Museum began in a college dorm room at the Parsons School of Design. Its founder, Jon Pichaya Ferry, started collecting human remains as a student, eventually moving the collection from his own apartment to a small studio before establishing this permanent space. Every specimen you see here is a retired medical artifact from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, legally sourced and verified by forensic anthropologists. This space now holds one of the largest collections of human osteology on public display in the United States, including the largest public assembly of human spines in the world.
