The Minetta Lane Theatre stands on a site that feels far removed from the surrounding city bustle, yet its very structure holds a secret from the industrial past. Before it opened as a performance venue in 1984, this building served as a tin can factory. Architects Larsen and Juster later transformed the modest industrial shell into an intimate three hundred ninety-one seat theater. You are now standing on ground that once held a very different kind of production line, now repurposed to showcase creative works for the modern stage.
