Sniffen Court is a secluded, gated mews tucked away in Murray Hill, defined by ten two-story brick structures that began as private stables in eighteen sixty-four. Wealthy families in the neighborhood required a place to house their horses and carriages away from their residences to escape the noise and odors of nineteenth-century city life. Developers built this quiet cul-de-sac to centralize those services, creating a space that feels entirely separated from the surrounding streets.
