Jardin de los Picaflores

natural

The Jardin de los Picaflores is an open-air garden filled with dozens of feeders hanging from wires and branches, designed to attract hummingbirds in the middle of Puerto Iguazú. It started in nineteen ninety-three when a local resident named Hector began setting out sugar water for the birds in his backyard. Word spread, and eventually, the property transformed into a sanctuary dedicated entirely to these hummingbirds. Visitors now sit quietly on benches while the birds hover inches from their faces to feed.
