The yellow facade of the Municipality of Puerto Iguazu stands out against the lush green of the Misiones province. This building serves as the administrative center for a town that began as a small outpost in the early twentieth century. When the territory was still sparsely populated, the local government struggled to manage the surrounding jungle and the flow of international visitors. Workers once gathered here to settle land disputes and organize the early infrastructure that eventually connected this remote corner to the rest of Argentina.
