Orquideario del Indio Solitario

landmark

The Orquideario del Indio Solitario holds thousands of orchids beneath a dense, shaded canopy of native trees. While most orchid collections remain strictly enclosed, this one mimics the wild environment of the Misiones jungle. It started when a local resident began gathering displaced plants from fallen trees after storms. He spent decades attaching these orchids to trunks and branches throughout the garden. Today, visitors walk paths where flowers grow directly from the wood just as they did before the forest was cleared.
