The intersection of Las Siete Esquinas features seven distinct street corners meeting at a single, irregular junction in the heart of Puerto Iguazú. This layout emerged from the original urban planning of the early nineteen hundreds, designed to manage the flow of traffic in a town that was little more than a muddy outpost near the jungle. A local merchant named Alberto Nuñez once operated a general store here, serving laborers who cut paths through the dense forest to reach the massive waterfalls nearby.
