Hicksy's Café

The building that houses Hicksy's Café features a distinctive, low-slung roofline and a wrap-around veranda that dates back to the original structure's life as a local post office. Before the arrival of espresso machines and brunch menus, the space served as the primary communications hub for the neighborhood. Mail clerks sorted letters in what is now the kitchen, and residents gathered on the porch to collect their correspondence. Today, the wooden floorboards still creak under the weight of coffee drinkers.
