Mr PP's Rooftop and Laneway

The brick walls of Mr PP's Rooftop and Laneway belong to the former residence and office of Peter P. Agnew. In nineteen hundred and twelve, Agnew served as the Southport postmaster and a local magistrate. He operated his office on the ground floor and lived with his family upstairs. The name painted on the side of the building honors his position, while the current rooftop bar occupies the space where Agnew once tended to his personal correspondence and kept watch over the street.
