Cascade of Time Garden

The Cascade of Time Garden features a series of stone-walled terraces that step down the hillside toward the Bow River. It occupies the former site of a greenhouse complex built in the nineteen twenties to supply flowers for the surrounding parks. When the original glass structures fell into disrepair, landscape architect Talbot Hamlin designed this tiered landscape to replace them. It uses local limestone and native stone to create a sequence of pools, waterfalls, and flowerbeds that mimic the movement of the river below.
