The Luxton Home is identified by its shingled, steep-pitched roof and the distinctive log construction that sits tucked away from the main Banff thoroughfares. Norman Luxton built this house in nineteen zero three, using it as a base for his work as a publisher and proprietor of the trading post nearby. When Luxton passed away, he left the home full of the artifacts he had collected, creating a preservation of his life that he intended for public view.
