The stone gateway at number two, rue des Petites Ecuries, features a pair of imposing wooden doors topped by a heavy, carved archway. In the seventeenth century, this site served as the royal stables for the king, housing the horses and carriages used by the monarch when visiting the nearby palace. When the stables were eventually sold off and demolished, the gateway remained as the final stone fragment of the facility. It still stands as a lonely relic of the royal household.
